Where green waste is clean and separated from general rubbish, it can often go to a different processing channel. We encourage keeping garden material apart from household waste — it helps the pickup stay efficient and supports better outcomes for the material.

How we handle green waste

You show us where the pile is and roughly how much there is — a trailer load, a few wool sacks, or a stacked heap. We confirm access for the truck or ute, then load branches first and fill with softer material. For thorny or heavy branches, we’ll bring the gloves and keep the path clear. The Berm or garden edge is left tidy, not rutted.

Heavy soil, stumps and large tree trunks may need a different approach — tell us what you have and we’ll be straight about whether it’s a standard green collection or needs a specialist channel. We don’t overclaim; we advise what’s realistic.

Preparing your green pile

• Keep green waste separate from household rubbish and construction material.
• Cut long branches to manageable lengths if you can — it speeds loading.
• Keep soil to a minimum in the pile where possible; heavy soil adds weight quickly.
